While direct sunlight becomes a factor as the morning progresses, the conditions are generally considered ideal for racing fast.

Support along the course is minimal compared to major city marathons, with most spectators located near the start and finish zones. However, hydration stations are frequent and well-managed, and the race has a reputation for professional delivery and clear communication with runners.

The Dubai Marathon’s atmosphere is focused and efficient, with a large proportion of the field targeting personal bests. For sub-3 runners, the event offers one of the flattest and most predictable courses available, with a reliable climate and minimal congestion.
